About Instow Barton
Instow Barton is a beautiful farmhouse set in picturesque North Devon. The hotel and restaurant opened in September 2015 after being lovingly refurbished by Caroline and Colin Hutchens, providing individually designed rooms with a contemporary feel. Our aim was to create a calm and relaxing environment for our guests to enjoy.
Instow Barton restaurant is a small and intimate dining experience. The menu changes weekly using seasonal and as local as possible produce. In the summer months our vegetable garden supplies the restaurant. To see this weeks menu visit our Facebook page.
The restaurant is open Thursday to Saturday evenings only and is open to residents and non residents. Having become very popular with locals and holidaymakers alike, booking is essential.
Complimentary afternoon tea of Colins' homemade scones, Devon cream and strawberry jam is available to residents between 3pm-5pm each day.
All the rooms have 3000 pocket sprung mattresses, sumptuous Egyptian cotton linen, duck down and feather duvets and pillows. Additional items in the rooms are free wifi, HD TV, tea and coffee making facilities with homemade shortbread biscuits to go with your Tregothnan tea.
